Since winning the Affiliation Event, Roadscor—the startup that improves road safety at intersections using data analysis—has experienced impressive growth. We spoke with Robbert Lohmann about the significant steps taken and what the Connekt community has delivered so far.

Milestones since January: from Hasselt to Verona
Roadscor has gotten off to a flying start with various projects both at home and abroad. As part of an EIT Urban Mobility project, analyses for intersections in Hasselt and Rome have commenced. The first two deliverables were submitted on time and approved. The Province of North Brabant has also recognized the value of their work: the analysis of the N286/Steenbergseweg intersection has been presented, and agreements have been made to further investigate the proposed measures. Additionally, Roadscor is active internationally with a new project in Verona, and discussions are ongoing regarding new opportunities in the US, Singapore, the Czech Republic, Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands.
The development of their minimum viable product (MVP) is a key focus. Thanks to new collaborations with partners, this product is expected to be ready by the end of the year. "This allows us to take the first step from projects toward a product approach," says Robbert. This represents a shift from a project-based approach to a more product-oriented one.
Visibility and new contacts through Connekt
Although Robbert has not yet been able to exploit the full potential of the Connekt network due to overlapping events, the Affiliation program has already yielded tangible results. The free membership and increased visibility are clear benefits.
Two concrete examples illustrate the power of the network. At the Connekt stand in Seville, Robbert got in touch with MapTM, which led to an invitation to an event in Atlanta. Additionally, Roadscor registered for Intertraffic through Connekt. "We hope to enable some cross-pollination with the Connekt stand during the trade fair," Robbert says.
Furthermore, Roadscor has established contact with parties such as Vialis and OC Mobility through the network. Together with Vialis and Haskoning, this resulted in a joint article in NM Magazine. It proves how valuable the network can be for creating new opportunities.
Looking ahead: product launch and feedback
The next 6 to 12 months will focus on completing the ongoing projects for EIT Urban Mobility and making the MVP available, including additional functionality.
In addition, a series of prestigious presentations awaits Roadscor: they will speak at Road Safety on 5 Continents in Leeds, Urban Planning & Architectural Design for Sustainable Development in Florence, Tomorrow Mobility in Barcelona, and a workshop at the National Traffic Engineering Congress in Roermond. To conclude the EIT project, a webinar will be organized in November.
How can the Connekt network help?
Robbert Lohmann and Roadscor are looking for feedback. They want to know which insights are valuable for traffic engineers, what data is needed, and which additional features would make the methodology more effective. Therefore, they are looking for new pilot locations and collaborations with road authorities and traffic engineers. Every conversation leads to valuable insights that can further accelerate the development of their product. Share your expertise and help Robbert and Roadscor to further improve road safety at intersections.
Are you or do you know an organization for the Connekt Affiliation program?
Following the successful collaboration with Roadscor, Connekt is once again inviting promising startups in the mobility and logistics sector to the Affiliation event. This is an opportunity for established Connekt members to get acquainted with fresh ideas and innovation.
For startups, this is a unique opportunity to grow. Participants have the chance to make valuable contacts with influential players in the sector, and startups also stand a chance to win a free 1-year Connekt membership.
Are you or do you know a startup, or are you a Connekt member who wants to meet these startups? Sign up for the Affiliation Event on November 20, 2025!
