Renewed operating model
In 2024, Connekt introduced a new operating model to professionalize its governance and increase member involvement in the organization's strategic direction. Following the change in board structure in 2023, a compact Supervisory Board of five people was installed in 2024, along with a new Advisory Board of approximately ten members.

International collaboration and knowledge sharing
In 2024, Connekt further professionalized its international activities under the name 'International Affairs'. This new initiative focuses on three key priorities: strengthening the presence of Connekt members in Brussels, leading the BoostEDIC project to promote digitalization in mobility and logistics, and further expanding the successful Lean & Green Europe program. Through active involvement in European committees, bringing together consortia, and linking sustainability with digitalization, Connekt is strengthening its role as an international connector and innovator within the mobility and logistics sector.

Key milestones in sustainable logistics
In 2024, various programs within Connekt made significant progress. Topsector Logistics took further steps in efficiency and sustainability, with initiatives such as the Basic Data Infrastructure (BDI) to enable more efficient logistics chains through data. The Modal Shift Program encouraged companies to shift freight transport from road to more sustainable modes such as inland shipping and rail, contributing to lower CO₂ emissions and reduced traffic congestion. Lean & Green Europe continued to grow with 650 participating companies and expanded to include digitalization and links to CSRD reporting and the EC CountEmissionsEU tool, providing companies with better insight into their CO₂ reduction.

Digital Infrastructure Logistics (DIL) program
One of the key priorities in 2024 was the Digital Infrastructure Logistics (DIL) program. This initiative focuses on developing and promoting the Basic Data Infrastructure (BDI) for the logistics sector. By establishing general agreements on data exchange, Connekt aims for a more efficient, secure, and flexible logistics chain. The program, which started in January 2023, is carried out in collaboration with various partners and was made possible by the National Growth Fund.

Outlook
With the publication of the 2024 annual report, Connekt looks back with pride on a year full of transformation and innovation. The organization remains committed to connecting governments, businesses, and knowledge institutions to work together on future-oriented solutions in the field of mobility and logistics.
