A special place in the Connekt network
People play a crucial role within the Connekt network. The strength of our network is formed by the knowledge, experience, and commitment of professionals who have dedicated themselves to sustainable, innovative mobility for years. Some individuals have contributed so much that Connekt wishes to give them a special place even after their active careers.
On this page, we explain what it means to be an honorary member, ambassador or special advisor/ambassador of Connekt.
Honorary Members
Our honorary members are individuals who have made a special and substantial contribution to the development of Connekt. Honorary membership is an honorary title for life and expresses our appreciation for their commitment, vision, and involvement.
Honorary Members:
- have played a meaningful role in the growth of Connekt;
- are permanently linked to the network as a mark of recognition;
- are welcome at Connekt meetings, including the annual Members' Dinner;
- have no obligations or tasks: honorary membership is purely honorary.
Ambassadors
Our ambassadors are former representatives of Connekt members who are now retired or active outside the sector, and who still maintain a strong connection with the network. They have distinguished themselves within Connekt in a notable way and remain valuable due to their broad network, experience, and expertise. Ambassadors are appointed for a maximum period of three years, or for as long as the role is perceived as valuable by both parties.
Ambassadors:
- volunteer as connectors both within and outside the network;
- introduce new members or establish new relevant connections;
- may occasionally be asked for a specific role or contribution;
- are welcome at Connekt meetings, including the annual Members' Dinner.
Special Advisor/Ambassador
A special advisor is an experienced director or authority from politics, government, or the business community who connects with Connekt as a strategic sounding board and ambassador.
Based on his or her knowledge, experience, and network:
- the special advisor contributes to the positioning of Connekt;
- helps to establish new connections;
- supports the board with advice and reflection;
- is advisory and representative in nature in his or her role and has no formal administrative responsibilities.
Appointment Procedure
The appointment of new ambassadors and honorary members is a special moment. Every year, during the Members' Dinner, the chairman of Connekt announces who receives this recognition. During the presentation, they are personally thanked for their efforts and receive an official certificate.
On our website, honorary members, ambassadors, and the special advisor/ambassador have a place within the team, making it visible who has played and continues to play an important role within Connekt over the years.
