Roadscor complements the current capabilities of traffic engineers. Its unique approach makes it possible to identify all potential traffic conflicts in a structured manner based on probability and severity, with special attention to vulnerable road users. By combining advanced traffic models with a patented methodology, Roadscor can detect even unknown unsafe scenarios in accordance with ISO21448 (SOTIF).

Roadscor is an innovative tool for assessing road safety on critical road sections, such as intersections. Through successive iterations, various proposed infrastructure improvements can be assessed for utility, necessity, and results before they are implemented. This helps traffic engineers improve roads and intersections to reduce the number of accidents involving vulnerable road users.

Safe traffic design is crucial for reducing accidents. Traditionally, the design of safe roads has relied on reactive approaches based on (often incomplete) data from accidents and near-misses. Roadscor enables a proactive, data-driven approach to road safety through conflict analysis, considering all possible conflicts between road users before they occur. These conflicts are ranked by probability and severity, resulting in a safety indicator for the design. This approach aligns with the SPV (Strategic Road Safety Plan) of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, which centers on a proactive, risk-driven approach.

Roadscor enables traffic engineers to design safer roads that align with the objectives of road authorities and supports the Vision Zero-based SPV approach to reduce the number of road casualties.
