Transport en Logistiek Nederland (TLN) is the trade association for transport companies and logistics service providers.

The association has approximately 5,500 members and represents the majority of companies in the road transport and logistics sector. TLN strengthens the position of the transport and logistics sector as an economic pillar and improves national and international competitiveness. Key tasks of TLN include representing the interests of the sector at local, national, and European levels, as well as supporting and stimulating logistics entrepreneurship.

TLN functions as a source of knowledge for entrepreneurs, governments, and politicians on a wide range of transport and logistics-related topics, such as:

  • innovation, with projects such as platooning, paperless transport, and smart logistics concepts;
  • urban distribution, including the Green Deal ZES and environmental zones;
  • accessibility, partly through the annual publication of the Economic Guide and advice on better infrastructure utilization;
  • knowledge development, by translating research and development into practical applications;
  • national and international regulations, such as in the areas of equipment, cargo, personnel, CO2 reduction, safety, etc.;

In addition, through sub-sectors and regional circles, TLN possesses expertise in specific types of transport and cargo, such as exceptional transport, tipper trucks, containers, agricultural products, waste, and dangerous goods.
