Traffic & Digital: digital innovation for safe and smart traffic management

Traffic & Digital is the digital innovation branch of Traffic & More and builds on years of practical experience in temporary traffic management. While Traffic & More focuses on the execution and organization of traffic measures, Traffic & Digital translates this knowledge into smart, digital solutions.

STAN: platform for safety and efficiency in temporary situations

Central to Traffic & Digital is the STAN Safety Platform: a modular digital platform that improves road safety and efficiency in temporary situations. Big data is essential here: we use many different public and non-public data sources, from floating car data to Google searches.

We process this data into useful and actionable insights for (rail) road authorities, contractors, and other parties. With our STAN Safety Platform, we offer various modules to support the road user, (rail) road authority, or contractor in the areas of safety and efficiency.

To streamline this process even further, we recently developed a physical tool together with Connekt colleagues from ICT Intraffic: the STAN SafeTag. The employee clips this onto his or her clothing, and it provides alerts in the event of approaching danger. With GPS accuracy of up to 30 cm, we thus offer an additional tool to improve safety and efficiency within work zones.
