Automated Transport
Automated transport involves vehicles that can drive (partially or fully) independently using sensors, software, connectivity, and algorithms. This ranges from advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) to fully automated driving in specific conditions (ADS). This development in automated transport affects not only the vehicles but also infrastructure, legislation and regulations, data exchange, and the organization of traffic as a whole.
Connekt works to connect parties involved in the development and application of automated and autonomous driving. Within the network, we bring together government, the market, and knowledge institutions to share knowledge, identify bottlenecks, and stimulate collaboration.
We do this, among other things, by sharing knowledge about developments within connected, cooperative, and automated mobility (CCAM), putting implementation and scaling-up issues on the agenda, and facilitating dialogue between public and private parties.
The goal is to contribute to a safe, scalable, and socially responsible introduction of automated transport in the Netherlands and Europe.
