Mobility data refers to all data that provides insight into movements, infrastructure, vehicles, and logistical flows. This includes traffic data, logistical planning data, real-time vehicle data, and data from navigation systems.
Sharing and combining this data is essential for traffic management, diversions during disruptions, more efficient logistics, and better decision-making by governments and businesses.
Connekt brings together the parties working on the mobility data ecosystem. We facilitate the dialogue between, among others, the National Data Warehouse for Traffic Information (NDW), governments, and market parties regarding the roles and responsibilities in collecting, providing, using, and applying mobility data.
Data plays a role in the cohesion between different modalities to achieve a seamless mobility system. Consider public transport and bicycle data; therefore, these types of data are playing an increasingly important role.
In addition, we closely monitor developments in the field of data exchange, European regulations, data spaces, and new applications. Through our broad network, we share knowledge, identify opportunities and challenges, and put relevant parties in contact with each other. In this way, we help our members to respond in a timely manner to developments that affect their organization and mobility as a whole.
