Intertraffic 2026 Review
Published on March 26, 2026For four days, RAI Amsterdam was the center of mobility, innovation, and international cooperation during Intertraffic Amsterdam 2026. From the joint Connekt–Amsterdam Metropolitan Area pavilion in the Dutch Area, Connekt brought together partners, members, policymakers, and international delegations to work on the mobility of tomorrow.
With a vibrant pavilion, inspiring substantive programs, and a strong international network, the trade fair was once again a place for Connekt where innovation, cooperation, and new business opportunities converge.
A lively pavilion with our members
Eleven members of the network were represented in the Connekt pavilion. They presented their solutions and innovations in the fields of traffic management, data, ITS, mobility, and infrastructure.
Throughout the week, the pavilion served as a meeting point for discussions with domestic and foreign partners, pitches for international delegations, and new collaborations. For many participating organizations, this resulted in valuable leads, new contacts, and concrete follow-up appointments.
This is exactly what Connekt stands for: connecting public and private parties to accelerate innovation and cooperation in mobility and logistics.
Recognition for innovation
The Intertraffic Awards were also presented during the official opening of Intertraffic. We are proud to congratulate our members HR Groep Streetcare and Luxene, who won awards for their innovative solutions.
This once again underscores the strength of the Dutch mobility ecosystem and the innovative role of the Connekt network.
International meetings and delegations
Intertraffic is the place where the international mobility sector comes together. During the fair, we received several delegations at the pavilion, including groups from Finland and Norway, Korea, Spain, and more.
Our participating members were given the opportunity to present their solutions and engage in discussions about international cooperation and export opportunities.
Various international meetings also took place, including with partners from the ITS Nationals Network and delegations from Asia and Europe. These discussions strengthen the position of the Netherlands as a frontrunner in smart and sustainable mobility.
New partnership with EIT Urban Mobility
An important step in international cooperation was also taken during Intertraffic. Connekt and EIT Urban Mobility ratified their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
With this partnership, both organizations aim to strengthen cooperation between companies, cities, knowledge institutions, and startups to:
- Accelerate innovation in urban mobility and logistics
- Participate jointly in European and international projects
- Stimulate knowledge sharing and network development
This partnership contributes to a stronger European mobility and innovation ecosystem.
Networking at and around the fair
In addition to the substantive program, Intertraffic offered plenty of space to strengthen the network.
For example, Connekt and the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area organized a well-attended pavilion reception, and the International Intertraffic ITS VIP Dinner took place at the National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. Connekt also organized a canal cruise through the Amsterdam canals together with premium member SWARCO.
During these gatherings, representatives from government, industry, knowledge institutions, and international partners came together to exchange ideas and explore new collaborations.
Focus NL: working together on the mobility of tomorrow
An important substantive moment during Intertraffic was the Focus NL program, organized by CROW, Intertraffic, and Connekt on the final day.
During several sessions, public and private parties came together to discuss how we in the Netherlands are working on a safe, smart, and future-proof mobility system. Speakers from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Rijkswaterstaat, and the business community, among others, shared insights and practical examples.
The central message was clear: real progress arises through cooperation, openness, and connecting different perspectives.
Afterwards, the conversation continued during a joint lunch at the Connekt pavilion.
Thanks to all partners and participants
We look back on a successful edition of Intertraffic Amsterdam. Thanks to all partners, members, speakers, and visitors who contributed to the success of the Connekt pavilion.
In particular, we would like to thank:
- The Amsterdam Metropolitan Area for the cooperation regarding the pavilion
- Intertraffic Amsterdam for organizing the event
- Our participating members for their contribution and energy
- All visitors and international delegations who stopped by for inspiring conversations
Together, we show how strong the Dutch mobility network is.
