Haskoning's ambition translates into three strategic pillars: building a sustainable society, tackling climate change, and embracing digitalization through technologies such as AI, big data, and digital twins. Using a multidisciplinary approach, they develop solutions that connect societal ambitions with technological innovation.

Their involvement with Connekt is a logical step, based on a clear conviction: "Connecting sustainably. If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together." Membership in Connekt aligns seamlessly with this. For Haskoning, connecting sustainably is more than just a slogan. It is in the DNA of the organization and the people who work there. Connekt provides a valuable platform to work alongside other members from government, business, and knowledge institutions on today's major challenges. By putting collective trends on the agenda, interpreting developments, and initiating new projects, space is created for innovation and sustainability to go hand in hand. At the same time, the network offers the opportunity to actively participate in concrete projects under the Connekt banner.

Haskoning's focus within the network lies on the major transitions facing the Netherlands: digitalization, the mobility transition, (construction) logistics, emission monitoring, and multimodal freight transport. In this regard, it is not just technology that is central, but also people. After all, mobility is more than just infrastructure or systems. It revolves around people's behavioral choices. An effective approach therefore requires a human-centered approach. Within Haskoning's mobility domain, a team of traffic behavior psychologists works on solutions that link technological innovation to behavioral insights.

Actively contributing through knowledge, insights, and vision

As a Premium Member of Connekt, Haskoning actively contributes to our network by sharing knowledge, insights, and vision regarding technical and societal developments. They actively participate in thinking about strategic choices, for example, in line with the long-term vision of ministries. The challenges surrounding the energy and mobility transition require acceleration and smart innovations that can scale up from the Netherlands to Europe. Together with other members, Haskoning explores these possibilities and opportunities.

A recent example of their sustainable and future-oriented course is the opening of the new office on the TU Delft Campus. The monumental building from 1912 has been completely renovated into a Paris Proof building. It is a powerful example of how sustainability and innovation come together, featuring 600 solar panels in the former courtyards, many reused materials, and a strong emphasis on circularity. The new office provides space for 750 workstations and forms an inspiring base for further collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Connekt network and as neighbors.
