Tour: Zuidas Amsterdam
During Intertraffic, Connekt/ITS Netherlands and the Smart Mobility Embassy, as its international label, offer exclusive technical tours (Zuidasdok and Traffic Management & Crowd Management) showcasing how Amsterdam addresses mobility and urban development challenges in practice. These tours are made possible thanks to the support and contributions of Connekt’s member organisations. Experience first-hand how the Netherlands combines innovation, data, and public‑private collaboration in complex urban environments.
These tours provide unique insights into how Amsterdam uses smart technology, data, and spatial coordination to keep a world city liveable and safe, and we are grateful that this experience is made possible through the collaboration with our Connekt members.

About the tour
Experience the transformation of Amsterdam's Zuidas, one of Europe's most complex urban redevelopment areas. In this challenging environment, the Zuidasdok project is working on the expansie of Station Amsterdam South and the widening and tunneling of the A10 South. During the execution of Zuidasdok, the Zuidas area and the Amsterdam metropolitan region must remain accessible. Participants are guided through different aspects of mobility innovation during large-scale construction.
The visit at Zuidasdok Information Centre gives an overview of the area development and construction project. Together with the guided walking route, where we will explore real-time traffic management during construction, smart mobility applications, and multimodal travel flows in practice.
All to discover how public and private partners collaborate creates a future-proof district, combining data-driven management with integrated urban mobility solutions.
Schedule
- 12:45-13.00: Meeting up at Connekt Pavilion, hall 2 stand 210
- 13:00-13:30: Depart on foot from RAI to Zuidas WTC (approx. 15 minutes, including 1–2 short explanation stops)
- 13:30-14:30: Visit to Zuidas Information Centre – presentation at the model (35–45 minutes)
- 14:30-15:30: Continue route through Zuidas area
- 15:30-16:00: Walk back on foot - back at Intertraffic / Connekt Pavilion at 16hr
