XCARCITY CAV Workshop

Datum21 januari 2026Tijd13:30 - 16:30LocatieConnekt, Delft
Join us for an interactive XCARCITY workshop that explores how Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs) could support more liveable, sustainable, and data-driven urban mobility.

We will introduce the XCARCITY research programme and its digital twin approach to understanding mobility in dense, mixed-use districts, supporting the development of low-car, accessible urban environments. Together, we will examine what CAVs could realistically contribute, ranging from increased accessibility to improved network performance. You will engage in interactive sessions that use real XCARCITY case study areas, including Amsterdam Zuidas and Rotterdam’s Merwe-Vierhavens (M4H), to explore future scenarios in which CAVs can be effectively utilised. The session emphasises knowledge sharing, with participants identifying opportunities and challenges for CAV deployment. We will compare insights with existing international pilots in order to draw out practical lessons for the Dutch context.

Whether you are from government, industry, or academia, you will leave with new perspectives, new connections, and a clearer view of what CAV integration in the Dutch transport system could look like.
