On November 20 from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. Connekt/MaaS Netherlands is organizing a meeting for the Connekt network on the theme of Mobility as a Service. On this occasion we will be turning our attention to the situation across the pond: an exclusive mini-lecture will offer us an insight into developments in the field of Mobility as a Service in the United States.
- Exclusive mini-lecture (in English): Mobility as a Service: addressing the impact and the state of the art in America by Nico Larco
About Nico Larco: Nico Larco is the director of the Urbanism Next Center, co-director of the Sustainable Cities Initiative and Professor of the University of Oregon. He is currently in The Netherlands as a visiting researcher for TNO and TU Delft. During his presentation, Nico will address one of the key challenges involved in evaluating the impacts of emerging technologies such as autonomous vehicles, e-commerce and the sharing economy on cities: understanding the range of areas affected and how these areas are related. Nico will also share his view of Mobility as a Service in America and how this relates to The Netherlands.
You can already see a preview by watching his TedX talk.
- During the second part of the meeting we will hand the floor over to parties from the Netherlands: what developments are taking place here in the field of MaaS?
