Traffic congestion, population growth, climate change and emissions: it is all part of the big city problems. From 12 – 14 November, Connekt was in Barcelona for the Smart City Expo with a public and private delegation to address these common challenges.
During our visits to AECOC, Carnet and Barcelona City Council we were able to discuss the latest developments on Mobility as a Service, City Logistics and Smart Mobility. When visiting PTV Group, CEO Vincent Kobesen explained how their software can plan and optimize the movement of people and goods.
Also, did you know that the city of Barcelona has so called ‘Superblocks’? These are streets that have been transformed into a meeting places, with lots of green and no cars. Talking about taking back the city!
