In partnership with the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management, Connekt is organizing a meeting on the self-driving vehicles knowledge agenda on Tuesday, December 5 from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Connekt (Ezelsveldlaan 59, Delft).
The Netherlands is the European leader when it comes to knowledge about and the deployment of self-driving vehicles. A key aspect here is ensuring the availability and development of knowledge. The Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment is shaping this process as part of the ‘self-driving vehicle’ project, within which the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management is developing the knowledge agenda. Two further meetings on the theme of this knowledge agenda have taken place in 2017, during which the current status of the five key areas (impact, deployment, legal issues, technical issues and human factors) was presented and participants looked back on the international Automated Vehicles Symposium in San Francisco and the “First EU Connected and Automated Driving Conference” in Brussels. Attention was also focused on the “First Public STAD event”.
The knowledge acquired during international events is added to knowlegdeagenda.connekt.nl
and is publicly accessible. During the knowledge agenda meetings participants are also asked to think about areas in which knowledge is lacking and about studies they would like to see conducted to ensure the ongoing development of the knowledge agenda.
The results of the international SIP-adus event in Japan will be presented at the knowledge agenda meeting on December 5. You can register for the meeting below. For more information please contact Tom van Dam.
