Just imagine – the year is 2050; automation has become part and parcel of the transport of both people and goods: we let our vehicles drive us around, no longer have to pay attention to traffic, use public shuttles like the WEpod and relax as our own luxury cars drive us down the highway. Self-driving electric taxis pick us up and drop us off wherever we want, payments are made automatically and we share vehicles and journeys. Trucks are electronically coupled to each other, forming trains that travel along the highway, etc. What impact do these developments have on how our living environment and infrastructure are organized?
Take part in this workshop and reflect on these issues.
