The European Conference on Mobility Management (ECOMM) has established itself as the meeting place for policymakers, traffic engineers, scientists, suppliers and consultants in the field of mobility management in Europe. The three-day event consists of various excursions, a daily plenary programme with inspiring speakers, 50-80 presentations, debates and brainstorming sessions, a trade show and plenty of opportunities for networking. ECOMM takes place every year and attracts 350-500 delegates and exhibitors. The coming ECOMM conference takes place in Maastricht the Netherlands, from 31 May 31 – 2 June 2017 to be exact. The organization is in the hands of Maastricht Bereikbaar (Accessible Maastricht), the City of Maastricht, the Province of Limburg, the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment and is supported by the University of Hasselt and the Breda University of Applied Sciences. This year’s slogan is: “Teaming up for liveable cities’.
With a strong focus on sharing knowledge and encouraging further cooperation in order to jointly address the various mobility challenges, the ECOMM hosts have selected five crosscutting conference subjects: CO2 neutral transport, public-private partnership, integral solutions serving multiple goals, cross-border cooperation and user perspectives. These five crosscutting subjects will have an important place in the conference programme.
