Connekt would like to invite Lean & Green Personal Mobility pioneers to the Connekt/Lean & Green network session ‘MaaS meets Lean & Green’, which will be held on December 11 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Connekt in Delft.
What is MaaS?
Using Spotify to stream music instead of storing it on your hard drive, purchasing light as a service instead of buying physical light bulbs – a shift from products to services can be seen in all kinds of areas. Experiments are being conducted in the field of mobility too, under the banner of Mobility as a Service (MaaS). MaaS refers to a transition in the world of mobility that allows consumers to access mobility in the form of services, instead of having to invest in their own vehicles or individual services such as public transport. MaaS therefore increases flexibility and makes life easier for the consumer.
In the space of just a few years Mobility as a Service has become a firmly established concept in Europe. The advantages that these services bring are appreciated not only by users themselves, but also by towns and cities, which benefit from the shift in the way different forms of mobility are used. The Netherlands Bureau for Economic Policy Analysis (CPB) expects personal mobility in the Netherlands to grow by up to 50% by 2050, for example. To facilitate this growth, smart solutions are needed. Connekt is therefore pleased to be able to bring two innovative networks together: the Lean & Green pioneers, who are working towards sustainable personal mobility within their organizations, and the members of Connekt, who are committed to the development of MaaS.
Provisional program:
The program will offer you an insight into the future of Mobility as a Service: how will it define the personal mobility of the future? A number of parties from the MaaS network will then throw the spotlight on their activities and we will translate developments into practical solutions for the pioneers from the Lean & Green network.
