In partnership with TLN, and as part of the Foreign Promotion action line, Connekt is organizing a study trip for the Logistics Top Sector for the second time. In May 2015 Munich was the destination. This time, in May 2016, the trip will be to the ITF Summit 2016 in Leipzig.

The International Transport Forum (ITF) works to develop smart, sustainable and social transport. On its website the ITF describes its mission as follows: “ITF works for transport policies that improve peoples’ lives. Our mission is to foster a deeper understanding of the role of transport in economic growth, environmental sustainability and social inclusion and to raise the public profile of transport policy.”

On August 25, together with the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, Connekt organized a round table discussion with the Secretary-General of the ITF, José Viegas. This focused on the themes of the Logistics Top Sector, Lean and Green and the self-driving car. During the meeting Connekt and ITF agreed to intensify their working relationship.

From May 18 to 20, 2016 Connekt will be participating, again with the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, in the ITF Summit 2016 in Leipzig, which will be based around the theme of ‘Green and Inclusive Transport’.

The study trip for the Logistics Top Sector is scheduled to take place from May 17 to 19, 2016. Interested in taking part? If so, contact Jonneke van de Kamp at vandekamp@connekt.nl.
