On February 23 the ITS team of the Directorate-General for Public Works and Water Management (RWS) published its first International Annual Report( ‘Jaarverslag Internationaal 2016‘) In this report the team explains the actions that RWS, the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, RDW (Netherlands Vehicle Authority) and NDW (National Road Traffic Information Database) are undertaking jointly on an international level in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) for road transport. The majority of the ITS team’s members are involved in European platforms or projects with an international orientation. That means the team has access to an extensive international network, which is important to ensure it remains on course when it comes to strategy and policy, standards and operation. In 2017 the ITS team will be focusing on the themes of C-ITS & Automated Driving, Standardization and Operation. The report includes a description of the relevant bodies by the members who participate in them. The RWS ITS Team is facilitated by Connekt.
